  • My Summer As A Goth (Johnson-Medinger, 2018) at 1pm

    plot: My Summer As A Goth is the story of 16-year-old, Joey Javitts. Still reeling from the death of her father, Joey is sent by her absentee mother to spend the summer with her eccentric grandparents. The bored and depressed young woman becomes enamored with the Goth boy living next door, and allows him to make her over in his image. But is Goth really for Joey? And will she stick with it when the summer comes to an end?

    My Summer As A Goth is the directorial debut of Tara Johnson-Medinger. Medinger is a champion of gender equality in the film industry, and the producer of the award-winning music documentary THE WINDING STREAM and feature films CITY BABY, and MOTHER OF COLOR.

  • The Witch (Eggers, 2015) at 3:30pm

    plot: Set in 1603, The Witch, A New-England Folktale follows a puritan family living on an isolated farm deep in the woods. When their newborn son mysteriously vanishes and their crops fail, the family suspects a dark presence deep in the woods is the cause of their misfortune. They begin to turn on one another as their faith and their sanity unravels.

    Directed by Robert Eggars, The Witch, A New-England Folktale won numerous awards including the 2017 Bram Stoker Award for outstanding achievement in a screenplay.

  • Gypsy 83 (Stephens, 2001) at 6pm with Q&A with Todd Stephens

    plot: Gypsy (Sara Rue), a 20-something outcast living in small-town Ohio, has long believed that her mother chose her dream of becoming a singer over her own family. One day, her friend Clive (Kett Turton), a fellow goth, reads about a tribute event dedicated to Gypsy's personal hero, Stevie Nicks, which is scheduled to take place in New York City. They hit the road in hopes of performing for the show, thereby getting their foot in the door of the city's music scene, but there are bumps along the way.
